Few vehicles capture the spirit of early Land Rover utility quite like this remarkably preserved example. As recorded on the Heritage Certificate, chassis 345-015-G was manufactured on 10 November 1969 and dispatched just three days later to Sturgess Land Rover.

The vehicle was subsequently supplied to Cliff Barrows Ltd, where it was pressed into service as the company’s recovery truck. Remarkably, it remained in that role for the next 27 years. Cliff Barrows Ltd still exists today, and contact with a member of the Barrows family has confirmed both the exceptionally low mileage and that the vehicle was dry stored from day one. It remains fondly remembered by the family.

The overall condition can only be described as superb. The only structural work ever required was the replacement of two chassis outriggers. The bulkhead, footwells and chassis are entirely rust-free, and all paintwork remains factory original throughout.

Crucially, the vehicle retains an exceptional level of original factory equipment, including:

The vehicle has just been comprehensively serviced and benefits from the following recent works:
